Is there a way to copy data from User Field to Memo Field?

When I go to Edit - Copy Field - the drop down box for "To" does not list Memo as a field choice.

Because Memo fileds can be formatted, I don't think this is an option.

Do you need to do this for many records?

Yes, I have several hundred. My Act6 was able to hold more info in the user fields than Act10 can now. So I'm stuck with no place to put the data.

Not true. The field size maximum in ACT! 6 was 254 characters, with ACT! 10 the maximum field size is 450 characters.

Yes, i realize the character size, but in act10 all the data is on one line so most of it is not visible. In act6 there was word wrapping, so i could see all the data.

Yes, this was because ACT! 6.0 didn't have memo fields.

The only think I could suggest is exporting the Contact List to Excel then importing the data back with itImport, mapping the fields to the new Memo fields, then deleting the old fields. If only the Contact fields, you can just get the basic version of itImport.
