How to Open Act 2000 Database

Hello all.

My company used to use Act! 2000 for many years. We were recently acquired by a larger company that does not use Act! and won't let us install it at the moment. However, I would like to be able to open my old database so that I can get some of the contact info out of it. Unfortunately I am no longer in possession of our original Act! 2000 software, or I would just install it on my personal computer and get the data I needed that way. So is there any way for me to open my old database if I don't have access to an Act product? Perhaps there is some way to import it in to Outlook or Excel? I am guessing that there isn't and my hands are tied. But I just figured I would ask.

Thanks for any help.

The DBF file can be opened in Excel. It contains the contact name and address information but does not include the notes or history.

Re: How to Open Act 2000 Database

Thank you Roy! I was able to get some of the info I needed using Excel.

I assume that if we buy a new/current version of Act! in the future, that we will be able to import our old Act! 2000 database and see all the notes?

Thanks again!!

Yes, assuming that you have all the database files.
