On Act 2000 I have one database on a server that is being accessed from 4 local terminals. Each station has its own layout but we are all working off of the one dbf on the server. I now have 10 licenses for Act 2008 and have a new database/layout I created. Is it the same- a setting such as open what database on startup, or am I completely missing something like a remote synch feature. On thing for sure is that certain users need restricted access to only a few specific contacts. Any Advice

Unlike ACT! 3-6, the layouts are now integral to the database so everyone has has access to all the layout for a database. If you have ACT! premium there is limited access where you can control who will see each contact record. If it is ACT! Pro (Standard), no.
