In the past, when I have exported certain contact lists or a whole database from ACT, I chose to export it in a .txt format and it always exported automaticaly into an Excel program document.
Today, however, when I try to export, it exports into Notepad, which is useless for us.
Would anyone know why this process has gone a different route?
We were having error/corrupt notifications popping up earlier with this database, but then all appeared just fine.

This is probably in issue with the file associations on your computer. However, when you export, save the .txt file, then open the file from excel. You can choose file, open at the bottom of the open box, choose .txt from the files of type window.
