Email Being Sent to Wrong Person

I have ACT! 6.0 integrated with Outlook 2000. When I emailed out of ACT before it worked fine. Now, all of the sudden when I send an email it doesn't matter who it's to, all it does is send the email to ONLY my email address even though I didn't include it in any of the fields. It never gets sent to any of the other people. I've checked settings in ACT and verified that sending email from Outlook itself works properly. Any ideas??

Try deleting the ABC and ABU database files, they are likely corrupted. ACT! will rebuild them.

Re: Email Being Sent to Wrong Person

Then you have one or more invalid email addresses in your database. It could be an email address without an @ sign, one that is too long, etc. It's causing the ACT! program to build an invalid ABC file. One option is to go through the database contact my contact looking for the invalid email address.

I did find an email address that was bad, corrected it, deleted the .abc and .abu files, restarted ACT and it's still not working.

Re: Email Being Sent to Wrong Person

Can you try it in the demo database?

Open the demo, change the My Record email to yours and add a contact with another address to send to

This will show if it's ACT! or the database.
