Editing templates

I have created a template for a letter that will be mail merged to all the members in a particular group. When I randomly print tested the letter on a few contacts in that group, for some reason the contact's first name appears at the bottom of the letter by default. It is not something you can see on the template. Does anyone know what that is and how to eliminate that from happening?

Thanks!

Re: Editing templates

If it appears when printing it is on the template. Maybe look for hidden text or even do a select all and in MS word use the Alt F9 to show field codes might be a way to find this.
