Does Version 6 Have Restore As?

I'm working with a client with a Netbook and Version 6.

He is not able to get ACT running.  He did find a ZIP file, but when I asked him if there was a "Restore As" as an option, he said he didn't find one.

Can you tell me if Version 6 has the Restore As?

As an option, I believe he found the files for his clients.  I've seen it before in other posts, but can the db be rebuilt from the raw files?

Re: Does Version 6 Have Restore As?

There was no restore as in ACT! 6, only restore. While similar in appearance to later versions, ACT! 6 used a very different structure. For example the database was 26 linked files not including layouts and templates.

Re: Does Version 6 Have Restore As?

As usual, Roy, you can always be counted on to continually contribute to the user forum, and thank you.

As a follow up, I advised the client to make duplicate copies of both the one set of separate ACT 6 files and the one copy of a ZIP file.

Than to uninstall ACT 6, reboot, and reinstall.  Then he should attempt to restore from the one zip file he has.

Again, many thanks for your guidance.
