I am a financial professional still using Act 6.0 (2004). I did not care for ACT for Advisors. I need to create some more custom fields in my current version, and then upgrade (or should I upgrade first and then add the new fields?). Problem is, I haven't the time or the knowhow to create new fileds and manipulate my layout, and the people I have hired in the past have charged me as much as $200 an hour to do this - which is rediculous. Can anyone suggest 1) Whether I should just upgrade first and deal with the new fileds in the new version, or create the new fields now and then upgrade, and 2) Can anyone suggest someone in Austin Texas that will help me for a reasonable flat fee?

1. I'd upgrade first - more flexability in design
2. I know Clay from http://www.proactive-is.com/indexPro.html is pretty good... but you can check the list at www.act.com/acc
