Act word processor

[ Edited ]

I have ACT 200 & ACT 6.0.

I loaded up and tried both programs on my new computer.

When I try to do a letter of fax or memo, both programs (ACT2000 & ACT 6.0) will NOT load the ACT word processor.

Window says..."Word processor driver is not running.

I'm lost and need help.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Re: Act word processor

While it is possible to install both ACT! 2000 and ACT! 6 on the same system, they both share the same registry keys and that will effect their ability to link to outside programs including the ACT! word processor. You should uninstall both versions and then reinstall only one and see if that helps.

Thanks for the first suggestion.

Re: Act word processor

Because the ACT! program connects to outside modules including the ACT! word processor through the registry  One possibility can be caused by Norton Antivirus. If you are using Norton, then uninstall both the ACT! program and Norton and then install the ACT! program first. Another possibility is a corrupted registry entry which can be very hard to troubleshoot.
