Act 5 History Search

Is there any way to search for contacts that have no notes in their history in Act 5 (2000)?  I'm looking to search out leads in the database that have not been approached to send an introductory letter.

Re: Act 5 History Search

In that version of ACT (and the current version) there is not a search which says if there are no notes or histories.  A crystal report could be written which would give you this information.

Newer versions have fields which are triggered by history events (call made, meeting held email sent) these can be searched against and easily reported against.  Notes are not designed to record calls made mettings held etc and cosequentially should not be used to record as such.

Re: Act 5 History Search

ACT 5 has the same search capabilities such as search by call made, etc.  The problem is that hte office is small so the procedure was never set to use the software to record a call made - a note was generated to indicate action on a specific prospect then a return call was scheduled.  Otherwise could search for call meeting todo befoe a given date and this would solve the problem.

What are crystal reports?

Re: Act 5 History Search

a 3rd party reporting tool with much greater flexibility.  You would probably need a consultant to implement as the mapping can be a little messy.
