First let me state, Vista sucks, no matter what program you are running.
I have Act!2000 and have 3500 contacts and information saved. I recently bought a new Dell, of course loaded with Vista. I loaded my Act2000, imported all my contacts, and it seems to be working. Except I can not open the word processor to write a letter or template. I can print labels and calendars OK.
Has anyone found a way to get the WP to work? I contacted sage, and their answer was of course to buy an upgrade for $169.99. I have enough to learn and keep busy, a new database manager is not at the top of my list.
Thanks for any help.
Maybe if I wait long enough, Windows7 will work!

It is unlikely ACT! 2000 will work properly with Vista or Windows 7.The biggest issues are connecting to Word and Outlook, but there areother issues.
Especially if running Office 2003 or 2007 that ACT! 2000 wasn't designed to connect to.
You'll be much better off if you upgrade to a current version
