It's likely the error isn't in the DBF file, but in the BLB.
Sage no-longer do repairs for versions prior to ACT! 2005. You need to use one of the consultants who still do them.
I'd recommend Kim at http://www.techbenders.com/

Have you recently tried to copy the database? If copied via CD, make sure none of the files are set to read only.
What version of ACT! from Help | About? If earlier than 5.04, get the update.
You can download the current patches from http://www.act.com/support/updates/index.cfm
Also get the 5.04 build of ACTDIAG from there.
Then try this ACT! Knowledge Base article -

BTW: if you're using a non-English version of ACT!, not sure if that update will work... never tried.
Also, make sure you first backup the database (copy or zip all the files in the Database folder)... just in case :-)

first of all thank you for your help.
I´ve make the update to 5.04 ver and run actdiag 5.04 without problem (all checkmark green).
I delete the index with actdiag to reindex database.
When i run Act! ,it ask me to reindex but when i try i get the message " The database could not be open"
When i create a new Act! database it work fine.
(sorry for my english)...

Can i open the database with a dbf viewer tool?
All database files have the same header? Can i compare it on a hex editor with my backup?
Or i must send it to Sage service....
Thanks
Fernando
