The indication is that there is some kind of problem in the database. The ACT! 3-6 database would often run, seemingly without any problems, using a database with internal problems. One thing you can try is to save an empty copy of the datasbase, then export the user contact records to the new database and create the user accounts in the new database then export all the contact records to the new database. Because that writes every record fresh in the new database that will often cure minor problems.

About a month ago I actually took a copy of the ACT 2000 database from our server, I ran it through the actdiag (had to run it twice for all the red checkmarks to go green) and I was able to open it in ACT 2000. I then took it and ran it through its conversion in ACT 2011 and everything worked flawlessly. My only question is what could have damanged the live (server) database between then and now?

IS there a good guide/tutorial on how to save the empty copy in act2000 and import the data into it? I don't want to loose any data through this process so I'd like to have a step by step guide to follow.

I believe there was a KB article that detailed the process. It may be listed under ACT! 6 but would also apply to ACT! 2000. Tip do a backup of the database so if anything goes wrong you can restore the backup.

Hi All,
I know this is an ancient thread but didn't know where to post this request.
Can any kind soul possibly direct me to a download link for ACTDiag for ACT v6?
I simply don't have the time, knowledge or patience to move from v6 to the current 'cloud' things that confuse me as v6 is working and does all I need.
Any help with a link would be VERY much appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi Brian,
Try the attached actdiag.
Change extension to .exe

Thank you David, much appreciated. I noticed the actdiag version number of that in 'file properties' is v6.0.3.951. Would this be fine to use on my ACT! version which is 6.0.3.979? Mine was the very last iteration of version 6. I'm assuming/hoping that the variance in the version numbers doesn't mean I should get that exact version of actdiag to match my program version?
Thank you again for your prompt response, cheers, Brian.

Hi Brian,
I'm sure the version is ok to use.
Shouldn't do any harm.
