ACT 6 database and Mac OS X Server

I have a client that wants to use a MacMini Server (Mac OS X Server) for the shared database. Today the database is hosted on a Centos 4 system, and everything is working great.

Will ACT 6.0 work with a database on a OS X Server shared volume?

Has anyone had any problems with a similar setup?

Re: ACT 6 database and Mac OS X Server

Great, thank you. That is what I thought you meant.

As a linux distro, Mac OS X supports SMB (Samba), which is the same as Windows. As I said, ACT is doing fine with the database files on a Centos 4 server, which also supports SMB.

So, I will just try it, and see what happens.

Thank you, again, for responding. Very helpful.

You're in uncharted territory. In general the ACT! 6 database files could be howted on a server that suppoerted the DAS file structure.
