When I attempt to open act a microsoft window pops up with the heading:
"ACT! 6.0 application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I installed 6.0 from a download in March 2010 so I do not have an install cd. It was operating fine until yesterday!
I made numerous unsuccessful attempts to System Restore. System Restore is not completing.
Any options to correct this problem?

Are you using Act Version 6.03?
Did you install new software recently? If so what?
Did you run a full virus scan?
Did you run actdiag?
I have been using the same version of Act 6.03 ever since it came out 6-7 years agoand never had any issues like you are having and I have lots of different software running.

It continues to tell me it needed to close, but never actually opens. Perhaps I'm not nimble enough with how to run the diagnostics. Probably more inportant to know what I need to do after I run diagnostics to correct the problem. What could be preventing this software from opening? All the other programs on my laptop are opening and running without a problem.
