Act 6.0 on single machine running Windows 7
When i I select Data Exchange - IMPORT it crashes. For all data bases even in Demo Mode!
An unknown Error has caused act to shut down ....
I can Export but not IMPORT on ANY Data Base

All bets are off when you're running ACT! 6 on Windows 7. You would be well advised to upgrade to ACT! 16

Hello Roy, I have now installed v6 2004 on my pc running on Windows7 home premium.
Printer is fine etc...
However, I seem to be constantly in 'demo mode' with 44 preloaded contacts, as examples I think, which I cannot delete.
In this mode, everything seems to work fine.
Is demo mode something constant on this version?
It doesn't seam to effect the options I can use at all...as in it works fully.
I can't see any other mode options.
Is this significant?

To be honest, I have no idea. ACT! 6 was never tested on Windows 7 and I have no idea what problems there might be. Personally I wouldn't try to run ACT! 6 on Windows 7 except in an XP virtual machine.
