My rdb syncs fine when i am connected to my network and using network sync.
However, when out of office and attempt to run internet sync i get an error
saying that the network sync service is not running and it does not reach the server.
Please explain if there is anything else I have to do other than switch the sync operation from network to internet.
Do I need to install either or both the sync software on the remote machine?
Thanks,
I think I isolated the issue to the fact the Network Sync Service is not running on the server.
However, the service wont start and gives error that timeout has expired.
I am running Vista Ultimate as server and Act 11 premium.
Help. Thanks

if you are running network sync (always my preferred method) then you need to redirct port 65100 traffic to the private ip address of the server and in Manage Conection Information you need to specify the public ip address for your office.
there is a KB for this at kb.sagesoftwareonline.com

LATEST UPDATE
CHECKED THE FIXED IP WITH THE PROVIDER....WORKS FINE
I AM USING A VERIZON USB MODEM TO DO THIS SYNC.
WAITING FOR VERIZON TECH TO TROUBLESHOOT.
ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCE ISSUES LIKE THIS?
NEW UPDATE
TROUBLESHOOTING:
I CANNOT PING THE FIXED IP WHERE THE SERVER IS.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I have redirected the router properly but the Network sync service wont start on the server.
UPDATE:
I increased the timeout values for the network service and it starts fine. Internet sync from rdb gets following error:
"Unable to connect to the Sync Server. Check to be sure Accept Incoming Syncs is enabled,
and that the network sync service is running. Also be sure you are connected to your network."
Accept is enabled and service is running on server.
Port is forwarded from router.
What am I missing?
Thanks
