server initialization fails

I have a user with a remote db and he has been unable to sync the past couple of weeks.  All other users can just not this one.  Here is the log of the problem:

I am running Act! Premium 2008 v 10 Hotfix 1 on a Windows SBS 2003 sp 2.

Thanks for the help.

What build of ACT! 2008 are you using (Help | About ACT!)?  The 10.0.3 update improved sync performance and will decrease the chance of time out issues during sync.

I'm assuming you're  doing network synchronization.  Increase timeout values on the server by adding these settings between </runtime> and </configuration> in the following file:

C:\Program Files\ACT\ACT for Windows\ACT Network Sync\Act.Framework.Synchronization.Service.exe.config

<add key="DatabaseCommandTimeOut.Default" value="90"/>
<add key="DatabaseConnectionTimeOut.Default" value="90"/>
<add key="DatabaseCommandTimeOut.Long" value="3600"/>
<!-- End timout values. -->
<!-- Supplemental file system watcher for syncing files -->
<add key="Synchronization.MonitorDatastore" value="true"/>
<!-- A bi-directional outbound transport setting to avoid encryption of sync data.
Note: Must be set on both client and server -->
<add key="Synchronization.UseEncryption" value="true"/>
<!-- A uni-directional outbound file sync override to shut off any files from syncing.
Note: Can be set on either client or server -->
<add key="Synchronization.SyncFileData" value="true"/>
<!-- A uni-directional outbound file sync buffer size.
Note: Default size is 5 Megabytes. Change this value to regulate file sync performance. -->
<add key="Synchronization.FileBufferSize" value="5242880"/>
<!-- A uni-directional outbound data list buffer size.
Note: Default size is 100 records per sync packet. Change this value to regulate data sync performance. -->
<add key="Synchronization.DataListBufferSize" value="100"/>
