Re: search

I don't understand the question...  is this about a lookup?  did You do a lookup and You want the parameters of that lookup predefined in the lookup menu?

An advanced Lookup can be very useful, this advanced lookup ( query ) can be saved it and put it on the menu...

You can also create a dynamic group with criteria you require and this way you can always have on hand a list of contacts that meet these criteria...

Best regards,

Re: search

It involves saving a lookup and then creating a custom command.

I would suggest creating a group with a dynamic lookup. It is far easier to manage and gives the same result in that you can save the group and name them.

Re: search

Hi there, the first step you need to take is to create an advanced query. So you need to go to the Lookup menu, go to Advanced, then choose Advanced Query.

Once you ahve created your query and you have clicked preview to verify you have gotten the correct results, you need to save the query. With your criteria still showing, click on the file menu and choose to save the query in the Queries folder of your database.

Now when you create a custom command, change the file type to "all files" instead of .exe and you will be able to browse to the query you created and use this to create the command.

I hope that makes sense, let me know if you need any further information.
