Re: search or report by change in contact record

this probably warrants another post, but just in case there's anybody still listening

i used your suggestion, am pulling changed contacts, then i am trying to run an advanced query on them so i can narrow down the results, but when i do so, I can't choose Narrow results, only replace

why?

thanks

Re: search or report by change in contact record

For a lookup to be narrowed/widened, the lookup must have been created using the query module (lookup by field , example or advanced). Lookup created using create lookup on a tab or through contact activity aren't done using the query module and can't be narrowed/widened.

Re: search or report by change in contact record

huh - is there any way to trick it into allowing me to narrow?

that seems limited - it's very frustrating

any thoughts around it?

Only using a very ugly workaround. When you have the first lookup, use Edit | Replace to place a value in an unused field then do a field lookup on that field for the value.

Re: Narrowing a Look-up

A contact can belong to a Group or several Groups.   When I look-up a Group, how do I continue to narrow the contacts by Group?  For example:  Several contacts belong to three Groups  ( say A, B and C).   I looked up Group A.    I wanted to narrow the listing to only Group A and Group B.  No Group C.  How?

Re: Narrowing a Look-up

There isn't any direct method to do that.
