Urgently need a response to my Post of yesterday.
I am in big trouble since I can't open my database since closing down Windows XP and Re-Installing Windows 7.
I am now getting desparate for a reply form anyone who can tell me where to get my answer to allow me to open ACT2013.
I did change my Computer Name to look same as what it was when it was Operating System XP. but still now effect on getting
it to open.
Hope someone can help ASAP as my company management is now giving me headaches I don't need.

Try changing the computer name back, that is easiest.
if you can,t or won't , try opening ACT diag (start, run, ACT diag) does it open without error?
If it does, try re attaching the ACT database (file, open) bu tchange .pad to .adf to open the act database file adn re create the pad file.
Your data is fine, but a lot revolves around the computer name.

I did remember many years back having a situation similar but now that you reminded me about opening the database without using the PAD I did it and have it back working again.
