"Error occurred after logon in synchronization manager" error at login.

With ACT v16, I am encountering "Error occurred after logon in synchronization manager: The path is not of a legal form.” When Launching a Sage ACT! Database". This only occurs on the network shared database, and I have followed the steps in KB29064 without effect.

I have also had customers report the same issue on their network shared databases, but not on local systems.

Add the same permission (Everyone) on the files
Can you open a different db?
Are the users remote?
Are they sync'ing ok?

Thanks Mike. Apparently the KB article on this is of no use, but Ben has advised us that a HotFix should eb released shortly to address this issue.
Now if we can only get the Feautured Tours to work. Right now they're all dead links.

This is a new issue, different to the one that's happened before?
Did he say under what conditions it happens?

Welcome screen links also (at least in the AU version

The Feature Tour vid links from the site all redirect to YouTube now:

So, should be easy to redirect the ones from the App

But, if I was them, I wouldn't redirect, I'd create pages with Act! branding and embed the YT vids ... more professional and just as easy.

Could be done with one page and some script to detect a ?parameter then display the right title and embedded vid

Has the mentioned hot fix been released for this? Having this issue at a newly upgraded customer.

Getting this on yet another v16 install.  Is anyone monitoring this?  Any updates?

Hotfix 2 or 3 fixes this. We had the error, and now it's gone.

I'm getting it on a machine now.  I'll double check that it's running the HF.  (I just downloaded the software today, I thought it slipstreams w/HF 4, but worth a check.)  Thanks!

New Upgrade of v16 Premium

Act! Premium Version 16.0.291.0, Hot Fix 5

also getting 

Visual C# Command Line Compiler has stopped working

 

Have attempted to use windows xp compatibility and run as administrator

a the joys of another all nighter Installation upgrade
