When I start up ACT Premium for Workgroups I get an error message that says "process performance counter disabled". I click ok and ACT boots. It does not appear to be affecting anything but I'm trying to figure out what it is. Anyone know? If so how do you enable it and what does it do?
I also get the message when I try to Check and Repair Database.

This issue could be a result of your antivirus scanning temp files or a problem with the process performance counter (a Windows process). Please refer to the information in this Knowledgebase Article for assistance and a possible solution.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
