hi my prob is, that i get an error if i want to sny with database
Message: ACT! is unable to connect to the sync server. Check to be sure accept incoming sync is enabled in the main database and that the Network sync service is running. Also be sure you are connected to your network.
allready change the port by main database - must i restart the database?
allready change the new port by client
still the same failure

Hi Mr. Haunstein
this issue can be caused by a firewall on the Pc/server
or if you are trying to sync from outside, the firewall of your Router can cause this.
you should consider to contact an Acc in Germany, who can give you a helping hand

If you are still having the problem lets eliminate the sync service app as the problem -
Change he port back on client machine and server.
On the server stop the ACT Sync service
On the server in ACT go to Tools, Synchronise, and tick allow incoming sync.
Now try syncing again. If this works it is a problem with the Sync service app.
