problem creating new contact

when i try to create a new contact either by the main menu drop-down, or the icon in the contacts tab, it goes blank, and then brings up the record of the last person i was viewing and doesn't  let me create the ew contqct. please help! Act Sage 2010

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Online Community. Some questions regarding your issue:
What build of ACT! 2010 are you using (from Help>About ACT!)?
What operating system does your computer have?
Does this happen in both the Contact Detail and Contact List views?
Does it happen if you try to duplicate an existing contact?
Does this also happen in the Demo database (ACT2010Demo)?
If there are other ACT! users in your office sharing the database, do they have the same issue?

This is a known problem and under investigation, so i was told. But half a year later nothing has changed and this problem also exists in the 2011 version of ACT!.


It "seems" like a small problem but it is extremely anoying for users especially when they are using addons that need to refresh the contact... "ACT! does not seem to know what the current contact is anymore".


Is there any indication about if this issue will be solved... or when it will be solved?
