We run Sage ACT! Premium 2013 Version 18.104.22.168 on a Windows SBS Server and have 3 remote users that sync to the main database and 3 local users. Last week one of the remote users starting having an issue with activities. The notes in the activity on the calendar view screen disappear when they clear the activity. Both other remote users can continue to see the notes in an activity when they hover over it even after it is cleared, or if they unclear the activity and open it. This one user cannot see any notes in the activity even if they unclear it and open it, the details block is blank. However, if you go to the contact record that is associated with the activity you can see the notes in the history tab where the activity is stored. This is not desireable because it is very cumbersome to have to go to each contact to look at notes from the activity instead of jusst being able to see them on the calendar view. Plus the other 2 remote users do not have this issue. All users run Windows 7 32 bit.
This happened after the remote user was unable to sync to the main database and it was found that his remote database was corrupt, which seems to happen periodically for some reason. What we do is delete the remote database and copy the main database from the server to the remote laptop and save it as the remote, then do a sync to the main and everything seems to work fine. Except this time this issue happened.

Not sure if I completely understand what you mean. As far as the notes on the activities, if you are looking at the history tab on the contact screen, it may not show the details if the person who cleared the activity didn't include them in the history options. Is it just the one user?
Also, I am not sure what instructions you are using for creating remotes, but it should not be a copy and save and then try to sync. Maybe I am just unclear on the terminology you are using. Hope that helps, Brenda

If you enter an activity (meeting or appointment) it shows up on the calendar view. When you open it you can add notes on the details tab. Those notes are also visible when you hover over the appointment with your mouse on the calendar. Even after you clear the activity they are there and visible. For one of our remote users the notes go away when you clear the activity. Even if you unclear it and open it from the calendar view they are not there. You have to go to the contact record and find the activity in the history tab to be able to see the notes. This did not used to need to be the way to view the note, and it is not this way for the other users.
