Running Act Premium V18.1 on Windows 10. Laptop died and I moved the hdd into another/different brand laptop. Windows adjusted itself and boots up fine, reactivated Windows 10 ok.
When I start Act, it states protexis licensing v2 needs to be started. That does not fix the error, same message restarting Act.
Quickbooks will do something like this, but it is easy to delete a file and re-register,
Any help would be appreciated

Contacted Act support - had to change the protexis licensing v2 service to "log on" to local user/password. Saw this mentioned, but did not believe it would have changed.
