mass updated in ACT?

how do i do a mass update of the department field (currently blank)?

I can do an advance query to select the records I want (e.g all contacts where title contains "sales") but then I can't figure out how to do a mass update of the department field to "Sales". I have seen the messages that say to edit and replace but I can't find where you can edit? pls help.

Try Edit>Repace Field

sorry to be dense but where to I find Edit? I have checked all drop downs and can't find it....

The edit menu is located to the right of the file menu.

edit menu? file menu? i don't see either (I am on the Act Premuim web version--could that make a difference?)

Oh sorry, I only have Act Premium for desktop.  Perhaps someone who uses Act for web can respond.

That can't be done from the WEB client, it could be done on the server.
