Over the last 5 years 6 clients went to salesforce.
1 is still with them. (Grew to a size ACT could not manage as global takeover took them to 3000 users.)
4 returned (Mixed reasons but cost and integration and reporting problems mostly.)
1 went bust. ( Seemed to think that having a new CRM system solved all problems but gave crap service to their customers so not surprised.)
