I have one pc and one laptop.
Run windows 7, act premium 2010 on both installed,
I work on one pc and update contacts and documents.
How do I update the other database automatically on laptop so I always have an up to date copy?
Both pcs are in the same room, connected by ethernet cable to the router.
I know nothing about servers... :-( and exporting and importing from one to the other seems cumbersome.

You first have to make sure than one machine can access and edit files on the other machine through your network. Please see KB Article 13878 on how to share an ACT! database. If you have no knowledge of networking, you may want to get someone to help you set this up.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
