i've been trying to edit the history time spent report. the report is exactly what i need except that i can't choose the type of history that i want.
so when i prinout the report, i get all history types and not the types i want
the same mechanism exists in the activities report
how can i implement such a thing in the history time spent report?
i'm willing to pay someone's time for it

I'm not sure that this is something that's easily possible to do without the use of Addons - unfortunately. I'm sure if anyone knew of a way to do this, it would be our resident reports expert @Roy_Laudenslager .
Depending on your reason for reporting though, you could check out the History List in the left nav bar. This lets you see a list of all histories, and you're able to filter these using the filter options at the top. You can filter by 'type' as well as date etc.

the history list has it's own limitations :
can't filter a single customer
can't get total time of duration for all the records

You could export the History List to Excel and then select just the required user and add up the column needed.

that's too much work to do monthly for each customer
also, excel can't tell minutes from hours, this will require more work
i know it can be done by customizing the reports, i just can't understand how to do that and looking for a professional that can
