error: user-defined breakpoint

ACT! has encounted a user-defined breakpoint.
Breakpoint indicates a program error.
After this dialog is dismissed, the app will continue running, but it may be in an unstable state.

 

Huh?  What does this mean?

Hello Rita,

This sounds like the installation may damaged.

Does this happen on more than one machine?

More than one database?

Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall?

Hello Nick,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. In regards to the issue:
What version of ACT! are you using (from Help >About ACT!)?
Are you receiving the exact same error message?
Does this happen on more than one machine (if in a multi-user setup)?
More than one database?
Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall?
