I have a Toshiba DK 40 digital phone system, and would like to know if there is a way to use the dialer in ACT to dial either through the modem or some other devise.Do I have to convert digital signal to analog?

Great addon currently called DialIt from CRMaddons compatible with Windows 7 and ACT! 2010. Gives you access to all the Secondary Contacts. Will definitely not work with non 100% TAPI modems - I have a drawer full of rejects. Test your modem with phone.exe from CRMaddons.
Can recommend Way2call Hi-Phone Desktop Lite modem www.way2call.com - sometimes doesn't hang-up immediately when you get voicemail, but just hit the red hang up icon.

I've set this up for users with VoIP systems to user the ACT! dialer. There are quite a few apps out there that will cause the ACT! dialer preferences to see the network connection as a "modem", and then dial. What I'd do first is contact the vendor who sold/installed your system - they usually know how to get it to work. Good luck...
