dbase import

Does anyone know if there is a driver required to do a dbase import into ACT 10 / 2008?  The help desk says there is no extra driver, .dll, etc. required.  However, our old ACT 6 program imports our dbase file without a problem but our new ACT 10 program that was installed on another computer cannot import the same file.  It gives an error "Unable to access specified database. External table is not in the expected format.  I've recreated the dbase file several times and our old ACT imports it.

Thanks

Re: dbase import

Are you trying to Open the file (File | Open Datebase)? That's what the error sounds like. You should be able to import it (File | Import) without any problem provided that you specify that you are importing a dBase file.

Re: dbase import

Have you tried following the steps in this ACT! Knowledge Base article?

Failing that, if you can create the data in CSV or XLS, these are more common formats to import
