contact duplicate results in blank record

contact duplicate results in blank record

Sage ACT! Premium 2013 Version 15.0.301.0, Hot Fix 1

 

since going over 100,000 records every time I attempt to "duplicate contact record" I get a blank record.

 

I have to copy & paste all info into a "new record" instead

Hello Cathy,
There are two possible causes we know of:
- There is a reported issue that this will occur if you have the Web Info tab open in the contact your duplicating. Make sure another tab (activities, history, notes, etc.) is selected
- The contact record you are duplicating has invalid or damaged data. Make sure you are logged into the database as an Admin user, then go to Tools > Database Maintenance > Check and Repair.

- If you have a shared or remote database, does this happen with other users as well? If you are a single user, this would not apply.

I am Admin

 

I run Check & Repair every night

 

I always am on notes tab when I try to duplicate record

If you open the demo database (ACT2013Demo) and try duplicating a contact in there, does the same thing happen?

can duplicate in Demo

 

But remember I said I have only had the problem since I went over 100,000 records and that doesn't apply to the Demo.

I'm not aware of any issue that would cause this once you go over 100K contacts, but I'm checking into it. You can test this by restoring an older backup of the database that was made before it had 100K contacts. Use the "Restore As" option so you can restore it as a copy with a different name.

Are any of the fields that are included in the duplicate requiring mandatory data entry i..e the field attribute is set?
