I have the notifications coming up hourly that there's an update for act, which has me download act1910update3.exe and run it as an administrator. I do all that (have done all that SEVERAL times a day now) and it stops the upgrade about half-way through the progress meter. Any work-arounds or word there is something that will fix this?
Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Act! 19.1 update 2 installed (update 3 is the target)
Office 2016 64bit (Word is working)
Not sure what else to include here.

Actually, I installed SP2 and that resolved the issue. Have no clue why the updater would not complete, but it would just stop and the progress bar would disappear and it would not show up thereafter in the task manager. With the SP2 installer, everything seemed to work okay, so I do not have this problem anymore.
Thanks for your help!

The installer starts (when I run it as Administrator or as a standard user) and displays the installation progress bar then the progress bar advances to half-way across the status box before the status box disappears and no notice of further processing is given. No Error code, no message. This happens when the task manager has no Office processes running (even when the Office or Act! identified processes shown by clicking "more details" on the task manager screen are ended before the update is run, it stops).
Any further clues?

Can I make a suggestion please.
Could we have a url link against each update in the download centre to the article regarding what fixes or improvements are in the download. I know you can find this elsewhere but it would make sense to have a shortcut next to the download.

That's a good suggestion. It would require a re-structure of the current What issues have been fixed in Act! updates? article so that individual updates could be linked to. I'll pass the suggestion along to our Knowledgebase Specialist.

You mean like this?
The fact that you missed it tells me it could be improved though. I'll send some feedback to the website team to find out how it could be improved.

I've tried this on all my machines (3 macs running parallels to support a windows environment and 1 pc, all with the same environment to the best of my ability to duplicate it, i.e., Windows 10 Pro 64bit, Office 2016 64bit, Act! 19.1 with all updates available on the download page referenced in the posts above) and yet the installer for the update 3 fails to complete. Occasionally (randomly as far as I can tell, I've done this numerous times on each machine expecting a different result, isn't that the definition of insanity?) it will come up with an update to the version spec in the "About Act!" window, but the notification there is a product update available persists. As of now, all show update 2 is installed but not update 3.
So it is not processing the update through to completion and it is not getting to the same place in the process each time before it terminates the update. Anything else I might try?

Update, actually the machine I typed this on shows update 3 in the "About Act!" window, but prominently displayed in the lower right corner of my screen is the notification window advising me a new update is available. So there's at least one that is at update 3 whilst still notifying of an update available, but there is no update beyond 3 available on the download page.
