Work On 2 Databases at Once ?

WE are using premium 2011 and have numerous databases all  made with 2011 licenses - is there a way to open 2 databases at once. It would be a great time saver for our finance department.

Re: Work On 2 Databases at Once ?

You technically could do this with AcT for Web.  it is not possible to open two different ACT databases on the same computer.  There is another questsion.  Why do you want multiple databases?  In most cases a single databases is reccomended.

Thanks for the reply -that will be what we have to do- We have multiple medical businesses and our attorneys advised us to have separate databases. I know you can limit access but we want to err on the conservative side

Re: Work On 2 Databases at Once ?

We have Act! on a terminal server.  Our employees have dual monitors at their desks and can login multiple times to the server. Each time they login, they can open a separate company database using the desktop version.  This leaves them with one Act! database open on one monitor and another Act! database open on the other monitor.  Just another option besides the web route...
