Hello,
I have my database saved in a directory? What files, specifically, do I have to backup to do a backup of my database?
Are there database files beyond where the database files are located?
Any help would be deeply appreciated!

Use the backup in the ACT! program.

I notice that the ADF and ALF file DO NOT change the date of their filenames, even though I have been adding data to my database. Can it be that the data is stored elsewhere than what is indicated on the HELP---> ABOUT ACT---> DATABASE INFORMATION --->DATABASE FILE LOCATION ?

The data is stored in the ADF file but ACT! doesn't directly control the ADF file. It's controlled by the SQL server and many external backup programs can't backup the ADF and the ALF files unless the SQL server is stopped. Also there are separate supplemental files inaddation to the ADF and ALF files.

Thank Roy!
Is the location of tose supplimentary files located in: HELP---> ABOUT ACT---> DATABASE INFORMATION --->DATABASE FILE LOCATION ?
And, so what yiu're saying is the BEST way to do a backup is to go to FILE---> BACKUP ---> DATABASE?
What is FILE---> BACKUP ---> PERSONAL FILES? what is that?
