In looking at the way this software was designed, it appears that the correct way to enter the notes for a particular activity is by using the details tab. However, after the activity is closed there appears to be no way to view the details after the activity is closed either via the calendar or the task list view. Our sales manager prefers to see the data by clicking on an activity without having to reopen it.
How can he view the details of closed activities at the calendar, task view, or activities tab of either group, company etc.? Clicking on a closed activity gets no response. There is no message, no nothing.

Thanks for your response. Does this mean it is only accessible in the history in the UI? Once closed in the UI, it is not accessible from the calendar, task list, etc?

In the calendar, if you move the mouse over an activity (even closed) it should show a pop-up with most of the info - but not the details tab
So, yes it's only in the History that you can see/edit details for a closed activity
