We're going to have some external users to use our ACT database and book some meetings for us. We only want them to view certain companies and since we have a lot, then I don't want to restrict them access to all the companies which they shouldn't be able to see (this has to be done one by one). I can restrict them access to all the contacts but then the users can still view any history and notes on these companies.
Is there any smart way to do this? It should be possible to disable opportunities as well and to make sure that the users can't view other users tasks etc.. Is there any way to solve this? The best solution so far is to restrict access to a lot of contacts but it just doesn't seem that smart. Is it possible to add companies to a group and then deny access to this group or?

Is it possible to create a smaller database only containing the relevant companies for the external users? And then setup a synchronization between the small and main database, where the small database only will receive sync updates concerning the companies which is contained in the small database. Is something like this possible?
Any help or hint would be great
