User Fields

How do you get the user field names to appear on each login?  They are only showing on one or two of our logins.

Thank you,

Sara

Re: User Fields

Sara,

Usually if a field is grayed out on one layout but not another, it means that the placeholder for that field is invalid on the layout. Have the user go to Tool/Design Layouts/Contact and locate the field on the layout template in the Layout Designer. If the white field box is empty or contains an invalid field name, then double-click on the field box to assign the correct field.

Re: User Fields

The field labels are part of the contact layout. Are all users using the same contact layout? For ACT! 2009 and earlier, the layout in use can be see by clicking the "Layout" button in the lower left corner of the screen...the current layout will be highlighted. In ACT! 2010, the layout in use is displayed in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

Re: User Fields

Ok that seems to work however the user field in one layout is grayed out and you can't access it?

Also the layouts are the same one is named and the other is still just user 1 -10

Our User 10 is the tax return prep fee and this is the filed that is grayed on one layout but not the other   If you have a solution to fix this will it show what has already been entered from the other layout?
