Use Premium with Standard?

Hi guys;

Is it possible to have the main database on a machine running 2008 Premium and a remote user running Standard?  We would be syncing over our network.

Thanks.

Re: Use Premium with Standard?

No, all databases within the "Sync family" need to be of the same product Edition (i.e. Premium) and generally the same version (10.0 - 10.0).

There are Edition/Tier differences, as well, such as Teams and other feature areas, which are data-driven that would not allow the two to "mix and match".

Ok, thanks - not exactly what I wanted to hear.

Am I able to offer the unused product key for sale then?  I won't be needing it as I'll stick with my standard version.

I'm not on the marketing or sales side of the business to answer your question re:selling your product key...

I would recommend you contact our Sales group to inquire about upgrading your product.

Good luck.

Try eBay... or, if within 30-days of purchase, I think you can return it.

But also, when on a Network, you probably want to share on the LAN, not sync

Thanks Mike;

If anyone is interested in picking up another Premium licence very reasonably, they should do a search on ebay.com.
