I am using Act Premium 2010 with 15 users. I try to use Act Reader to reset password, but the reset button is disabled. I cannot reset password and I don't what is the default password either. I try to use Act reader to build a ODBC connection. Use Act Reader to reset password is one of steps in the instruction.

I know this doesn't directly resolve your issues with the reader, but have you tried creating your ODBC connection via the OLEDB 2.0 reporting provider instead of the reader? If your goal is to extract data for reporting you'll find the provider superior to the reader.
Here you can find the white page documentation comparing the data access methods for act and on page 14 is a chart that compare the variety of methods.
Additionally, KB 14023 provides information on how to start the provider and link it to Excel, but the instruction should be somewhat similar if your using Crystal or Access.

I went to the KB posted by mwood and got a "connection forbidden". Is there another KB article? I searched and I"m not seeing anything.
