OK, resolved

Caution Smiley Very Happy :The following process was a test, but this process is not authorized by the ACT! by Sage

 specialists.

1. Do not start any process without considering backups (And External Backups - USB Memory - External Hard Disck)
2. If you are unsure Ask your authorized support ACT! by Sage

 Procedure:

1. I ask users to Close ACT!
2. (Server) Start - Run - Actiag - Dettach database
3. Manual Backup Files Database
4. Restoring this database on another computer with ACT! installed
5. Backing by...  File - Backup - Database
6. Restoring the Backup on the Server - (same database name and folder location)
7. I Tests, OK

Re: Urgent - message when trying to do a Backup

Hello Juan,

The  "operating system error 5" part of this error message usually indicates an access problem due to inadequate permissions or possibly a missing/damaged device. Try backing up to another location or backing up on a different machine. Also, see if you have any issues backing up the demo database to rule out a problem with the database itself.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

The Demo Database backup worked perfectly, but when try again to make the Backup Principal Database still shows the same error message

Any idea how to fix it?
