Currently, if I update a field in a company record like ID/Status and want that to flow down to all the linked contacts so they have the same status, when I choose that, ACT mercilessly forces an update of ALL Linked fields - not just the one I changed. Why on earth would you presume that if I have a company and I change a value of a field I that that would be a moment when I would want all values of all linked fields to overwrite what is currently stored in the fields for the linked contacts for those values. Let's say I have 20 contacts linked to a company with many different addresses - well unless I want all those addresses wiped out and replaced with the company address values, I am forced to update the ID/Status each of the 20 contacts linked to that company individually by hand.
Why would ACT not present a dialog say with 2 buttons:
1. update all linked fields (which is current functionality
2. update only linked field(s) that have been modified
This would enhance a current frustrating lack of simple functionality.
