Some of my scheduled meetings have a funny icon (see attached). I don't know how they got that icon and the worst part is that those meetings don't show up in my Task List.

The top icon in your screenshot is an activity that has been added to Act from Outlook though the sync feature.
You might have these hidden in the task list. You can show them by clicking the Options button and selecting "Show Tasks from Other Applications".
