Unique custom field

Hello,

I am using a custom field inside ACT to also drive the user login to another web site.

Is it possible to make the custom field unique? Or have ACT search to see if the value had been previously used?

Perhaps a 3rd party add-on?

This should be possible using the duplicate checking except that it is based on three fields being the same but you could use the duplicate search to lookup and see if there are any duplicates

If by "making a custom field unique", you mean generate a unique value, then our AutoNumbers add-on can do this: http://www.exponenciel.com/actaddons/actaddon.aspx?ID=110

It allows you to create a unique value that includes a automatically incremented number and other elements that could be coming from one or more fields.
