Unable to convert database

Hello, my boss has a standalone database that contains his personal contacts he uses for sending out his Christmas letters.

I can open the database using ACT Premium 2010 on a Windows XP, 32-bit PC.  We just upgraded to ACT Premium 2012

and when I open the database on my Windows 7 64-bit PC, I am getting the following error box with the message:

"Exceptions occurred while executing the database Schema Update Script".  I found the following posting and I am wondering

if there is up-to-date information on how to correct this problem.  Can one still contact ACT to have them fix it?

Thanks!

Re: Unable to convert database

Sometimes this is a false error.; Try and browse the file structure and snd see if database opens.  You may need to close ACT or run maintenance, but it may go ahead and open up.

Also if you need to try again, run maintenance before and after.  Good luck!

Re: Unable to convert database

Jon, thanks for confirming what I ended up doing before you replied.  I opened up the database by pointing to the .ADF and

after it opened up it asked if I wanted to convert the database.  That ended up working.  Running maintenance on the database

may have worked as well.
