Trying to run an Opportunity Report for only one process

[ Edited ]

Hi there,

I found a previous thread that sort of addressed this issue (https://community.act.com/t5/Act-Premium/Trying-to-run-Opportunity-Report-for-only-one-process/m-p/7...) , but it really didn't answer my question, so I am posting a new question. Roy Laudenslager said that there was a way to separate the processes, which is exactly what I need.

I am attempting to run an Opportunities by Record Manager and Process report for our organization. We have two different set of processes for two separate departments (Service and Projects). When I attempt to run this report, I am getting every single opportunity for each process. I would like to have a proprietary report for each process as they are two separate departments.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Note: We are using Act! Premium Version 20.1.120.0, desktop

I am not an expert in reports, but when I need a simple list of opportunities, (Image 1) I open the list of opportunities -  I go to the fields of that list (image 2) I include and order the fields to my list (image 3) I apply the filters and FINALLY export that list to excel, that way I can filter the information as I want and print my report

Re: Trying to run an Opportunity Report for only one process

There's no real way to filter by a specific process I'm afraid as you're bound by the filters provided when you originally try to run a report.

From what I can gather from the older post that you've linked, they filtered the report to group all of the individual processes together and then saved it as a PDF and only printed specific pages.

The only other thing that I could potentially think of would be to try and find a 3rd party add-in that gives further filtering options. I can't recommend one but you could take a look around https://actaddonshop.com/.

Re: Trying to run an Opportunity Report for only one process

Oh my gosh, thank you so much Juan - this actually does help me because it allows me to see the separated process opportunities, select a time frame, and export it to excel! This is a great and super helpful work around! Thank you!!
