Hello,
I'm trying to add Zillow.com to the links on the web info tab. I seem to have it correctly passing the information to Zillow.com but when I click on the link, Zillow gives me the following message: "Sorry, but we encountered a problem performing this search. Please wait a few seconds, then refresh the page or try a different search. If the problem continues, get help troubleshooting the issue". It never says what the issue is. The address, city and state are correctly displayed in the Zillow search box on the top of the screen, so I know it's not a data passing issue. When I click the "Open Browser" button, IE 8 opens up and the page is displayed correctly. This leads me to believe it is an issue with the browser in ACT! Could this be an Adobe Flash issue? Does Flash play well with the ACT! browser?
We are on Premium 2010 version 12.0.409.0, hotfix 3.
Anyone else encounter this problem with Zillow or any other website?

Hello jcozzoni,
Welcome to the ACT! Online Community. I have found that when trying to do searches for websites under the Web Info tab, that you have to pay close attention to the resulting URL when the search is done. I tested one in Zillow.com, the result was
http://www.zillow.com/homes/123-main-street-new-york-ny-10001_rb/ for the URL. What you have to notice here is the dashes between the address parts and the "_rb" at the end. Try formatting your link under the web tab to do this and see if you have any luck. Of course, as you said it may be an incompatibility with the website and the internal ACT! browser not handling Flash. I will check into this. One other thing is that web info tab browser cannot properly process some URLs that contain a forward slash "/". Example - "http://act.com" - should use "www.act.com" instead. This issue is currently under investigation.

Hi Greig,
Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'm going to like this forum!
I did verify the resulting URL and it is formatting correctly. I did notice that instead of "-" in the address field, ACT is putting "+", but that does not seem to matter. I opened IE directly on my PC and typed exactly what ACT formatted in the Result URL. The correct address showed on Zillow without any issues. I also tried it without the "http://" as you suggested, but that did not corect it. This is my Source URL:
http://www.zillow.com/homes/ Address 1
{Contact.Home},-{Contact.Home City},-{Contact.Home State}_rb/
Thank you for looking into this issue. Hopefully a resolution or bug fix will result.

I am assuming this never got resolved? I am using V16 and still having the same issues getting this to work.

What does the formatting of your link look like in the web info tab?
Mine looks like this:
www.zillow.com/homes/{Home Address 1}-{Home City}-{Home State}-{Home ZIP Code}_rb
Granted I'm using v17, but with that formatting, I'm not able to reproduce any sort of oddities. Only the fact that the web info tab isn't large enough to comfortably view anything without scrolling, and that's really more a matter of screen size than an issue with the program.

Thank you for posting this. I tried your formatting with the same problem. I am thinking it must be something that was fixed in V17.
This is what i see.

I did have one of my colleagues with access to a machine with v16 test this and they got the same result.
The reason for this is because the v16 Web Info Tab runs Internet Explorer in compatibility mode for Internet Explorer version 7 (which is outdated for the code that Zillow.com runs on), whereas the v17 Web Info Tab runs in compatibility mode for Internet Explorer Version 9 (which currently is still able to display the code properly)
Unfortunately, there's not a way to change the setting for the way this displays.
The only options would be to use the workaround of clicking "Open in Browser" as a shortcut to viewing it without having to type it out, or to upgrade to v17 if you want it to display properly within the Web Info Tab.
